Although paper bags may seem like a more earth-friendly, bio degradable alternative to plastic, they actually consume 40% more energy to produce, generate 80% more solid waste, produce 70% more atmospheric emissions, and release 94% more waterborne wastes. Even those using recycled materials have to be re-processed, adding pollution & packaging. Our handmade market bags offer a conscientious & attractive alternative to plastic or paper! Each bag is one of a kind, sewn from durable heavy weight fabrics. All seams have been securely double stitched, and handles strongly secured to make sure your new bag will last you a long, long time! Straps wrap all the way around the bag, so they can handel large loads of goods. Machine washable, although hand washing is recommended for bags with applique work. |
I will be doing these primarily on a custom order basis. ( a few pre-mades may be available from time to time) When ordering your custom market bag, please consider the following options: 1. color/fabric preference 2. desired strap length 3. design work ( plain, applique, hand painted, stamped) Price will very depending mostly on design work. Plain bags begin at $16, appliqued bags average $26-$46. The following are a few examples of some of the options. Please feel free to look through my Galleries and other pages for more ideas.
